The Furthest Shore Tour

Fri 21st - Sun 30th November 2025

After ten years of festivals of the southwest of WA, and interstate, it's high time the good ship The Lost Quays left port again to head for The Furthest Shore'! With our compass set for Esperance, we'll be calling in on the outward voyage at Merredin and Kalgoorlie, and return stops at Ravensthorpe, Lake Grace, and a final special informal (and free) concert at Wave Rock! There will also be workshops at Kalgoorlie and Esperance.

Expect a show with plenty of traditional shanties, originals and sea songs from the days of the tall ships. And no doubt a chance to sing along in a chorus or two! Performing in a mixture of a capella (unaccompanied) and with accompaniment from guitar, mandolin, bodhrán and concertina, The Lost Quays are known for their energy, strong harmonies, engaging performances and relish a good audience connection. Welcome on board!!

SHANTY CLUB

On the second Monday of each month, come on board at Clancy’s Fish Pub in Fremantle for Shanty Club, hosted by The Lost Quays!

The evening’s about enjoyment in a very relaxed atmosphere, with a lot of good humour. Many of our songs benefit greatly from you, the assembled crowd, singing along to the choruses, which we can teach you - pretty easy, they are shanties. Or of course you can just grunt at a vaguely appropriate time if that comes more easily!

We’ll sing a few shanties and sea songs and invite a contribution from the blackboard. We can listen as part of the audience, join in with choruses, thump out a beat, or help out with harmonies - whatever you want.

See you there!
