Fremantle Shanty Club meets at 7:30pm on the 2nd Monday of each month at Clancy Fish Pub to sing, learn & share sea shanties.

How Does It Work?

Shantys are easy to learn and fun to sing.

Shanty Club is not a performance. It is all about participation. Everyone is welcome to lead a song, to sing along, or just listen and enjoy.

It works like a folk club. If you would like to lead a shanty, write your name on the blackboard at any time during the evening. Before a song we teach the chorus so that everyone can join in. A microphone and small PA is available if amplification is needed.

We continue to enjoy great contributions by singers from Freo and beyond. The Lost Quays are on hand to fill in whenever required, so you can be guaranteed of some great shantys no matter what happens.

How Do I Get Involved?

Turn up at Clancy’s and join in! Sessions are the second Monday of every month, at 7PM. Check our calendar for the date of the next session.
